Finding AO Code while applying PAN card

Finding AO Code while applying PAN card

I have seen many posts around many websites about the AO codes. The information provided in the site http://www.tin-nsdl.com/AOCode.asp is not clear. They provided the AO codes listing for each city in India but, with that information we will not be able to map our address to the correct AO code (as each city can have multiple AO codes).

Even I had a hard time finding one for me when I needed it for Miyapur Hyderabad. SO wanted to share my experiences and information..

Here is the AO Code for Miyapur Hyderabad
Area Code = APR
AO Type = W
Range Code = 61
AO No.: 4

I have called local IT Pan Card Service Centre‎ (in Hyderabad) phone number +91 40 66682233‎ and got the AO code from him. Thanks to that person.. Please post comments with your experiences and information so that the India can benefit from it.
